Everybody agreed that author of Sex II, Sibylle Berg, was one of the most fascinating and daring speakers at the literary events of 2009 Thessaloniki International Book Fair.
Berg was one of the speakers at the event entitled “A Look at a Modern Metropolis”, which took place on the 30th of May, at the stand of the Guest of Honor, Germany. The other speakers were her avid reader and Greek translator Maria Moursela, Ms Elke Sturm-Trigonaki, associate professor at the School of German Language and Literature, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and author and publisher Aris Maragkopoulos. Berg captivated her audience with her succinct answers, her animated reading of excerpts and above all her dynamic presence.
The numerous people who formed the audience must have realized why the well-known German magazine Der Spiegel once called her “the hardest eyeliner of Germany”. |
