Bliatkas Costas |
Costas Bliatkas was born in Northern Greece in 1957. He earned a degree in biology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, while he also studied Μass Μedia Μanagement and Οrganization. He has worked for Thessaloniki’s major dailies, (Makedonia and Thessaloniki) and served as director of state broadcaster ET-3’s 102 FM radio station between 1994 and 1996. He also served as deputy director of ET-3’s international productions department.
Bliatkas has also worked in the private television sector, has collaborated with BBC, and has written for several Athens dailies and numerous Greek and foreign magazines. He is the creator and host of several programs for Greek public television, namely, the current affairs program “Triti Matia” (Third Glance), which aired on ET-3 for 12 continuous years (1995-2006). Bliatkas is a member of the Macedonia-Thrace Journalists’ Union.
